Swiss bank secrecy is most often lifted for criminal cases such as narcotics trafficking, extortion, terrorism, etc. The objective of a criminal trial is not to plead in the interest of the parties, but for the sake of public interest, and so the client's right to bank secrecy gives precedence to the interest of justice. As such, bank secrecy is not an obstacle to criminal prosecution. Both the justice system and the Swiss banks take active part in the fight against money laundering.

* Access to your encrypted information can only be granted by a binding order of a Swiss legal authority, no single person at Swiss DNA bank SA has access to your information and it is required that three members of our board of directors meet under a legal order to compose the security digital keys needed to access confidential encrypted information.

Changing or Removing Information

Access and control over most personal information on Swiss DNA Bank is readily available through the profile editing tools. Information which has been saved in the forever server will be encrypted and stored forever, and you will not be able to delete it any further. After this 7 day period, the information will be shared forever and you will not be able to delete the “will settings”.

Security

Swiss DNA Bank has implemented the highest security standards to guarantee the privacy and security of your information. We pay extra attention to both physical security of the storage media and digital security of data itself.

As far as digital security goes, the asymmetric-key cryptography (RFC 4880) is the core component to perpetual digital assets storage. This top of the line technology allows the content of Swiss DNA Bank to be securely stored in a nuclear-proof shelter.

It is worth noting that each event a Swiss DNA Bank user stores in the Forever server, is encrypted with a newly generated cryptographic key. The security level that generates with this process is actually a three-level security system: one server is responsible for storing the encrypted file (the event), a second server stores the cryptographic key and a third one stores the association between files and keys (which key opens which file). We further note that all the digital information stored in the Forever server is four times redundant for surviving both physical failures and data IO failures.

Once an event is stored on the Forever server it cannot be modified, it becomes forever. For this reason we encourage users to transfer their memories on the Forever server only when the event is completely documented. Swiss DNA Bank’s internal security management follows a military level protocol. No single operator can access Swiss DNA Bank data. We also provide you with a secure access card called Swiss DNA Card. The Swiss DNA Card is a special one time access code generator the size of a credit card.
